Watch Martin fly with the Condors
Wednesday, November 28th, 2007I’ve mentioned our friend Martin before — and he’s been popping up on television as of late.
First, we spotted him helping an eventual winner paraglide off the top of Cerro Catedral on The Amazing Race. Then, just a few weeks ago, there he was again paragliding with a famous US-er, this time the chef/traveler/cheeky adventurer Anthony Bourdain, who he also lauched off the top of Cerro Piltriqitron (try saying that three times fast) then took back to his place for an asado.
Martin lives down in El Bolson, an hour or so south of Bariloche. It’s one of the world’s great flying areas, and that’s what took him there in the first place. This guy loves, and I mean LOVES, to fly.
Now, he’s teamed up with a very well-known local ornithologist on what appears to be an incredible documentary, being made by another friend of our’s Christian Holler. It’s called the Path of the Condor and has Martin flying all over the Southern Andes. The early video looks really really beautiful and we’re really happy for Martin.
